Our History & Name
Afidence, Inc. was formed in 2010 and was built on 9 years of consulting excellence that was delivered through the Ray & Barney Group / IT Consulting Division. A key objective of the new company was to have the name represent our most core, foundational value: Trust. Accordingly, we pursued various words and phrases until we landed on the name “Afidence”. The name itself is derived from Latin and translates as follows:
- “A”, coupled with the “f” represents the Agreement
- “FID” equates to Trust and Faith
- “ENCE” means State, Quality, Fact
