In a nutshell, the mother watched an interview airing on “60 Minutes” years ago about a woman who taught severe Autistic children to communicate. She took her 6 year old daughter (at that time) for training and the results appear to be remarkable, as is what the mother discovered about her daughter . . .  she was in fact “in there”.  The mother and daughter have even written a book together titled, I Am In Here  “View autism through the perspective of a non-verbal 14-year-old autistic girl, Elizabeth.  Her mother, Virginia, explains how Elizabeth overcomes the challenges of autism”.  Click here for the Amazon.com link to learn more about their book.
