Technology First never fails to show us an incredible time and Thursday, May 5th, at the University of Dayton Flight Deck, was no exception!  The 2016 Technology Leadership Awards was a home run from start to finish. The venue was superb, even elite. Surrounded by some of the most influential people in the technology field, we mingled with an overview of the UD basketball arena, snacked on a bountiful and endless buffet of hors d’oeuvres, and heard from a fabulous group of speakers. Our MC, Jim Bucher, was lively and involved the room with various activities including but not limited to: "Take a Selfie Right Now!" and "Make Us a Hashtag Right Now!" Needless to say, we had many laughs as the evening continued to the awards portion of the event.

The Technology First Leadership Awards recognize the contribution of information technology students and professionals for their role in ensuring a vibrant Dayton community. Honorees sat anxiously awaiting to hear if they could take home the winning title. To be selected as a nominee in itself was humbling, but to win the category title was an honor of another caliber.

A panel of three anonymous judges (who later revealed themselves) researched and deliberated over each of the nominees to make their decision as to who would take home the title of the category winner. As a winner, you were given a personalized plaque, a warm and abundant round of applause, and a chance to say a few words to the room.

AfidenceIT team humbly sat as a nominee for two of the five categories: Innovative Technology Team and the Best IT Services Company. After applauding Midmark as the winner of Innovative Technology Team, every face at the AfidenceIT table lit up as our name was announced as the winner for the Best IT Services Company! What a humbling and honorable experience for our team! But even more importantly, we were proud to see Midmark, our client, get recognized as the most Innovative Technology Team!
